“School Principal’s Nominations 2.0” should not limit students’ choices of programmes

In late June, the Task Force on Review of School Curriculum proposed implementing a new “School Principal’s Nominations 2.0 Direct Admission Scheme”. The good thing about the Scheme is that DSE results will not affect students’ chances of getting into universities; nonetheless, the Scheme limits students’ choices of programmes. With a view to expanding their career paths, universities should allow students to choose suitable programmes according to their interests and abilities.
